How does this rum taste?
The "White" rum from Jamaica, crafted by The Duppy Share, combines traditional molasses with a pot still for an unaged yet flavorful experience. Offering a unique aroma dominated by red fruits and raspberry notes, it also exhibits Jamaican funkiness. On the palate, it presents a vibrant mix of red fruit, creamy texture, and sweet undertones, with hints of tropical and bubblegum flavors. Users appreciate its delicate balance and potential in cocktails, particularly in daiquiris, while it lacks the raw intensity of typical white overproof rums. Enjoyable for both sipping and mixology purposes, this rum is especially suited for those who appreciate fruity and funky profiles typical of Jamaica.

#5159 20.03.2025 Running some samples at home. Nose Fresh, light, pineapple, light citrus, sugarcane, light caramel, light grass. Palate Fresh, light, light clove, citrus, light anise, light melon, faint tea. Finish Medium long, fresh, light oily, fruits, light pineapple, faint tea, light berries. Empty glass Light herbal, light chocolate, light pears, anise, faint smoke.
The nose is full on raspberry. It's hard to smell anything else almost. There's a little Jamaican funkiness and mineral notes too but it's very much in the background. The palate sticks with the raspberry but there's also a surprising creaminess and some ginger to add a little spice. The finish is a little short but there is shorter out there. Syrupy honey and ginger linger for a while. Much better than I was expecting. A nice sipper especially for those who like raspberries and rums on the sweeter side. I also made a daiquiri which was lovely, lots of old school confectionery notes.
This will be exciting in cocktails! And an update…this made for an amazing Daiquiry. Cool funky banana flavours in my mouth. Love it.
Pleasant unaged rum, very fruity and floral
