"A pure experience, quite a bit going on the palate and nose.... Recommended despite the low price"
"Lots going on in the nose. Definitely a more adventurous rum than the usual Chairman's. More funk and fierce chemical/estery odours. Taste: very woody. Lots of dry tannins. Like an older armagnac/cognac. Wood spices. Warm. Active cask: hell yes! A very interesting, wooddriven spicy St Lucia. An indie cask so less gentle than most Lucias. Its little more than 40euros so bang for your buck!!! Get it if you like the more pungent/aggresive St. Lucias. Edit: make pinewood an official tasting note!"
