The "Single Vintage" was produced in Belize at the Travellers distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Rum Shark. It was distilled in 2008 from Molasses and then aged for 13 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 69,7%. This is a limited release and there are only 1400 bottles. 36 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.2/10. The rum smells like Chocolate, Woody and Fruity, and on the palate there is Spicy, Chocolate and Woody.

27.08.2022 Going through samples at home. Notes Medium to dark in colour. Nose Fresh, wood, light coffee, light chocolate,, faint marzipan, banana, light roasted, light citrus. Palate Light oily, wood, light roasted, naturally sweet, light chocolate, spice, dried fruit. Finish Medium long, wood, roasted, light citrus, light chocolate, vanilla, faint caramel.
Im Vergleich der drei Haie aus Belize belegt dieser 13jährige mit einem hauchdünnen Vorsprung den 1. Platz. Die leichte frische Prise in der Nase rundet das Gesamtpaket ab und macht ihn zum Gewinner diese Runde. Am Gaumen sind sich der 13er und 15er sehr ähnlich, zumindest für meine bescheidene Sensorik. ;-)
