How does this rum taste?
Most love its intense wood, dried fruits and complex agricole profile at a fair price. Critics find the Beaume de Venise finish dominant or a bit cloying. Consensus: bold, characterful, great value.
If you enjoy Saint James-style agricoles and aren’t scared of 54%+ ABV, this adds a Beaume de Venise layer that many find both complex and excellent for the price.
Newcomers, those sensitive to high ABV, or drinkers who dislike dry, heavily oaked agricoles or wine-finished profiles that can feel a bit sweet or heady.

Beaucoup de bois et de fruits secs sur une trame verte. Le raisin est présent au nez et en bouche. La composition sort des classiques agricoles et produit un ensemble surprenant et agréable. Bravo Guillaume !
You can recognize the Saint James character immediately, with its unmistakable woodiness! Another fine rum from Ferroni that will delight lovers of the French West Indies, especially Saint James. On the palate, the viscous texture of Beaume de Venise makes itself felt. However, it retains the very imagery of an old house in autumn and all the smells that go with it.
Very nice, the finish in balsam of Venice goes perfectly with the agricultural profile, very nice!
Very woody, dry and powerful. Very complex for its young age, the alcohol is perfectly integrated with a woody, spicy finish that is quite long. I really enjoyed this rum, which is well worth the price.
