How does this rum taste?
- Rich woody and chocolate profile
- Distinctive Trinidad ester character
- Long, evolving finish
Woody notes lead the nose, wrapped in chocolate, cherry, and earthy undertones, while the palate offers a complex blend of tropical and dried fruit, spice, and a signature Trinidad ester kick. RumX tasters highlight its milk chocolate start, evolving into a dry, woody finish—though some find the alcohol a touch assertive, it remains a balanced cask strength sipper with real Angostura character. Worth exploring for fans of robust, oak-driven profiles.

"Not too bad but I must admit I had expected more. Having tried quite a few Angostura I had hoped that the high ABV had benefitted this release. Alcohol is integrated but not well enough in my opinion. It needs to rest for a good while before you can pick up more flavours."
"Solidní Angostura, pěkná ve vůni i v chuti."
"Finally I had an opportunity to try this Shark. Aroma is very woody, smoky with combination of sweet scent, in my opinion it is chocolate, somthis combination reminded me of pralines. But there is technical/ester scent that I like about rums from Trinidad and I noticed very pleasant fruity scent. Taste at the beggining is little sweet (at least for me), but than I noticed that typical technical flavor, dried fruit and glue. Finish is long again woody and very dry (almost winey). To be honest I was expecting little more from this sample. It is good rum, but I expected something more interesting in taste (herbs maybe or some sweet flavor)"
"Jednozancne nejzajimavejsi vune ze vsech Rum Sharku - krasne sladke lepsidlo, ale v chuti ji prevalcovalo travellers, zakze druhe misto"
