#4787 20.07.2024 Sampling a bit at home. Nose Balanced, light wood, light roasted, dark chocolate, raisin, spice. Palate Warm, balanced, naturally sweet, fruits, dried fruit, light pineapple, light wood, faint smoke, dark chocolate. Finish Medium to long, wood, light roasted, raisin, light pineapple, spice, naturally sweet. The empty glass has faint cherry, faint caramel and some vanilla. Needs to rest for a good while to settle properly or the ABV will overpower the flavours.
This is a round foursquare rum with some character. Especially the leather and fruit notes do impress. Due to the heavy tannines in the end and some weird notes in the palate that do not fit in Well, this does not get higher points
Alcohol not well integrated. Quite good in taste!
