Romdeluxe Savanna Collectors Series La Reunion No. 7 Grand Arôme 2013
Highly regarded as a roasted, fruity, chocolate‑driven Savanna that sips well at full strength, though more traditional and wood‑forward than many expect from a Grand Arôme.
Fans of cask strength Savanna and wood-driven agricole who enjoy roasted, chocolate‑orange profiles with a touch of red wine influence.

How does this rum taste?
Woody, fruity Savanna at full strength
You’ll enjoy this if you like Savanna’s drier, oak‑driven side at full proof and don’t mind that the funky Grand Arôme character plays in the background rather than taking over.
Drinkers chasing classic high‑ester Grand Arôme funk or those sensitive to 55%+ ABV and slightly bitter, wood-heavy finishes.

Farbe: Bernstein Geruch: Sahnig, Toffee, Schokolade, Rosinen, Datteln, Rotweinschorle süß. Geschmack: Cremig, vollmundig, würzig und lecker. Toffee, Schokolade, Datteln. Abgang: Lang Cremig, würzig schokoladig.
Beautiful color. The red wine cask is very profound and fits the rum well - but it lacks the grand arome character, which is a pity. Fruity and creamy, sips well for it's abv.
#4453 05.11.2023 just came back after visiting a former colleague and he offered a few rums to try. I only have notes because I came unprepared 😊 This one needed to rest for a while to take off the edges. Nose: fruity, roasted wood, cinnamon and a touch of coconut. Palate: roasted wood, fruity, raisin, caramel and light chocolate. Finish: medium to long with oily touch. Fruity with some chocolate and spices. The empty glass hasld some light vegetal and solvent notes.
Better length than the 55'4%I'm still looking for that great aroma!!!
