How does this rum taste?
The Single Cask Berlin Bar Convent OWH by Habitation Velier is an intriguing Jamaican rum from Hampden distillery, crafted with a pot still and molasses. Aromas of toffee, pineapple, and cocoa overlay a solvent base, while flavors of pineapple, vanilla, and spice dominate its profile. Its 59.5% ABV adds a fiery kick that some find invigorating. Users appreciate its simplicity and smoothness for a low-ester variety, although critiques note a sharp alcohol edge and less complexity than expected at its price point. Limited to only 274 bottles, this eight-year-aged rum offers an authentic Jamaican tasting experience that both captivates and challenges with its profile.

Nice easy sipping Hampden. Personally, however, I like the higher ester marks better. Nevertheless, a great single cask from Velier!
Entspannter low ester Hampden unterm Radar!
