Corman Collins Navy Full Proof Small Batch 2021 2021 16yr 53,93%
The Navy Full Proof Small Batch 2021 is a distinctive rum crafted at multi distilleries, selected and bottled by Corman Collins. With an ABV of 53.93%, this 16-year-old rum showcases complex aromas like orange, fruitcake, and coconut, and flavors of alcohol, spice, and licorice. Users highlight its Jamaican influences, creamy texture, and evolving profile with time and aeration. Notably, it pairs poorly with dark chocolate, and benefits from meditative sipping to balance its robust alcoholic presence. RumX users find the rum reminiscent of other navy blends, offering a unique tasting experience, yet consider it somewhat overpriced relative to its profile.

“A navy that's exactly what you'd expect from this style of rum. Multiple aromas. The influence of each origin is palpable. The alcohol content is top-notch for me. I like it a lot and find it unfairly shunned. Glad I could find a bottle.”

“An enjoyable navy style blend, quite forward on the jamaican notes.... don't ask me what distillery! 😄 fruits and spice are dominant, creamy, I reckon this rum benefits from time in the glass, oxygen is it's friend. Short finish. A nice sipper. It was available in a 1.5L magnum of which I managed to get.”

“#4802 28.07.2024 Enjoying a few samples while watching the new Godzilla movie. Nose Fresh, balanced, light coconut, faint prunes, spice, light wood, faint smoke, anise. Palate Light oily, wood, light roasted, faint smoke, light caramel, orange, light coconut, faint chocolate, faint licorice. Finish Medium to long, wood, faint smoke, faint earthy, fruits, spice, faint citrus. The empty glass has stronger licorice, raisin and some chocolate Extra note. Needs to rest for a good while for the ABV to settle properly.”
