Fruity navy blend with Jamaican edge
If you enjoy Smith & Cross, Worthy Park or navy blends with a Jamaican accent, this is a fuller, older take that trades polish and complexity for a bit more alcohol kick.

A magnum opened for a special occasion and drunk first with Cuba Libre, then on its own. A complex, broad nose in which all three origins are recognizable. But even though they make up half the blend, Guyana and Caroni are dominated by Jamaica on the nose. A light tar, smokiness and a dark edge are nonetheless evident. The mix with Coca-Cola is splendid, tasty, generous and alcoholic. Pure, Jamaica dominates the palate too, even if the chosen rum is "Low Esters". Guyana gives this rum a patina, and Caroni is only really evident in the finish. A finish that's a little short, strangely enough, and takes points away from it.
Auto-translatedA navy that's exactly what you'd expect from this style of rum. Multiple aromas. The influence of each origin is palpable. The alcohol content is top-notch for me. I like it a lot and find it unfairly shunned. Glad I could find a bottle.
Auto-translatedAn enjoyable navy style blend, quite forward on the jamaican notes.... don't ask me what distillery! 😄 fruits and spice are dominant, creamy, I reckon this rum benefits from time in the glass, oxygen is it's friend. Short finish. A nice sipper. It was available in a 1.5L magnum of which I managed to get.
Very well made blend! In my opinion, something Worthy Park dominates. But not cheap!
