This rum is 8yo column still rum produced from molasses as well as cane juice. Overall I think it’s a quite well balanced, smooth and pleasant rum that’s much better than expected and I wouldn’t hesitate if someone offered me a glass.
Holz, Karamell und Vanille sind dominant; beim zweiten Schluck kam dann auch ein Hauch von Erdbeere zum Vorschein. In Nase und Gaumen empfinde ich den Alkohol trotz seiner nur 40% sehr stechend; trotzdem besser als erwartet.
Weniger Frustig als er riecht. OK, aber nicht lecker. Bitterer Nachgeschmack
Ganz interessant, sicherlich besser als erwartet. Der Rum wird sowohl an Nase als auch Gaumen von Anklängen von Malzbier überzogen. Darunter auch Fruchtiges, wie Erdbeere und grüner Apfel aber eher in Richtung Gummibärchen.
