How does this rum taste?
RumX members love the minty black tea and tobacco profile wrapped in spicy bourbon oak. This 2005 pot still St. Lucia at 59.3% adds that grungy Vendome touch and a rich, oily feel. Give it air—heat and a dry edge settle into a long, herbal-woody finish. Highly rated by 69 reviewers, this 15‑year, 251‑bottle release is a confident pick for bold, complex sipping.

Rum and chocolate tasting by Rum Club Switzerland. A woody nose with black tea and leather, but as if slightly attenuated. Tobacco and heavy oak on the palate. Short to medium length. A well-made rum, but a little dull and monolithic, the heaviness a little pronounced for my taste.
Very heavy on dark and woody notes, some spices and bourbon cask influence.
Beautiful harmony of black tea, green fruits and bourbon notes. Spicy, minty and pleasantly sweet on the palate. Very good rum from Saint Lucia!
The bourbon barrels come out clearly. A bit spicy, but a very good St. Lucia. 👍
