„The proximity of the two barrels is unmistakable. Both 19 continental years on the hump, the Ed. 24 additionally another half a year in the HD 92 Cask of the Ed. 18. Honestly, however, I must say that it is really difficult even side-by-side to make out differences on the nose. Surprisingly, I do notice differences on the palate. The Ed. 24 seems a bit more full-bodied, with more sweetness on the finish. But maybe it's just because of the 1.4% higher ABV and less because of the additional finish...it definitely adds another point over the Ed. 17 😉“

„Nose again (like the other RC) with some sour and citrus notes, but less prominent and complemented by candied fruits. So far I liked all out of the 2001 <>H batch. Looking at a close field: KD > TB > RC-M > RC“

Finish kommt hier sehr gut.“

„This one waited for me in a covered glass, in a closed cabinet (for letting it breathe while I send my kids off to bed), and I could still smell it. The profile is nice, not too heavy and not too light, very fruity. The alcohol did not have any burn for me, which I liked. The only thing bothering me is that rotten fruity component, that so many love, but that I sometimes find distracting.“

„This HD does not convince me 100%! In the nose, the sour aromas predominate...and the palate I feel overall very restrained and relatively round... that's not wrong, but I'm missing something there... the finish then fits the profile again“

„A very good Hampden. Very balanced and especially on the palate with great barrel influence. The nose almost a bit restrained compared to the Ed17. But on the palate the clear winner. Unfortunately came on the market in a strange magnum format. Since the sample will have to do.“
