How does this rum taste?
Most praise it as a smooth, fruity, great-value everyday Cuban, especially with cola. Critics find it thin, short and a bit flat or acidic. Consensus: decent, characterful budget option.
If you enjoy light Cuban rums like Havana Club Añejo and want a touch more wood, caramel and orange without spending much, this is a solid step up for everyday pours.
Seasoned enthusiasts chasing high complexity, heavy body or cask-strength impact; anyone very sensitive to bitter orange or light, short finishes.

Overall an quite OK rum from Cuba Ron S.A., that’s aged for 8 years in old oak casks and bottled without any additives. The nose is fruity with aromas of apples, pears and Armagnac. At the palate and during the medium long finish it’s fruity and nutty with flavors of apples, caramel, some licorice and bitter almonds. The latter flavor gets even more intense during the finish.
Very good fruity rum
Almost the nightcap of the evening, another CubaLibre mixed with DomM from this rum. At least I think so. It tasted much better than the Cubans from Rum Artesanal. It's nice, but nothing special either. It's not really convincing neat either.
Great rum for £20
