"A woody nose with notes of coffee and dark chocolate, but also a herbaceous side with tobacco and tea and fruits such as bitter cherry. I don't find this complexity on the palate, which is a shame! The palate is dominated by woody, bitter notes of cedarwood and tobacco. A little molasses too. The finish is rather short, still on bitterness and cedar wood, with a hint of licorice and prune. An interesting, easy-drinking rum with fine flavors, but a little simple and lacking in depth."

"Certainly not a sipper but for me an essential bottle when mixing (TIKI) cocktails. The OFTD is really no substitute here. Already because he is not a pure Demerara like this. No gourmet rum but a tropically matured Demerara with a little rough taste but horny (and cheap) for cocktails. Unfortunately, with us not to have."

"Baking spices and wood with a hint of citrus on the nose. Certainly not coffee I would drink, but a certain 2nd wave coffee expression. Punchy and sweet on the palate with a hint of salt. Long, pleasant dark chocolate finish."
