The ageing process has left its very own mark on the rhum. Despite 40%, the alcohol is still present, not particularly unpleasant, but still noticeable. The mouthfeel is full-bodied. The finish is initially fruity - tart and then slightly woody with vanilla and licorice at the end. I was particularly surprised by the dried fruit aromas, as I did not necessarily expect these to be so pronounced in an aged Agricole. For me, the association with a Demarara is closer here than with an Agricole.
J’ai pas spécialement aimé, trop boisé. Pas grand intérêt. Ça se bois mais rien d’exceptionnel
I find the smell much more pleasant than the taste. The alcohol is clearly noticeable. Quite unbalanced for me.
