“A nice rum with a long lightly dry finish. Lightly fruity with spices and lovely oak, caramel and chocolate. Very light vegetal and licorice notes in there as well. Price to quality is very good in my mind.”

“Ein schöner, alter Barbancourt mit 60%. Mal sehen. Nase: feine Aromen, kein stechen. Süßlich-würzig und leicht floral. Zuckersirup und Karamell geben eine angenehme Süße, Rosine und Bergamotte mit etwas Limette und Stachelbeere die Fruchtigkeit. Ich finde noch Vanille und etwas, das mich an Kerzenwachs erinnert. Durchaus gefällig. 8,0 Gaumen: hier eher kräftig und würzig-holzig mit weniger Frucht. Zu Beginn bitter und salzig mit Muskat und Kümmel, dann metallisch mit Zitronenschale und einem Hauch Stachelbeere. Insgesamt sehr trocken. Hinten Kräuter und nochmal Stachelbeere oder Ähnliches. 7,8 Insgesamt zwar interessant, aber am Gaumen nicht rund und zu bitter.”
