23.05.2020 Crazy tasting with lots of participants and a few friends. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Intense, ester, light wood, dried fruits, pineapple, faint rubber, light leather. Palate Intense, spicy, light wood, fruity, light smoke, grass, faint glye, light citrus, light medicinal. Finish Long and warm, light citrus, light wood, faint floral, light leather, light medicinal.
Wirklich betörende, warme Nase, am Gaumen geschmeidig und weich, die typischen Gummibärchen sind da, die 46% passen perfekt. Der Rum lässt sich angenehm trinken, ist überhaupt nicht anstrengend. Wenn nur der Abgang nicht so säuerlich, fast schon schwefelig wäre ... Aber manche mögen das ja. Habe den Rum Ende Juni 2024 in einem kleinen Tabakladen in Berlin gefunden. Da muss er schon 8 Jahre verstaubt in einer Ecke gestanden haben. Hat weniger als 100 EUR gekostet. Der Tabakhändler hat sich noch für den Preis entschuldigt, er könne leider nicht mit den Kampfpreisen der Onlineshops mithalten. Wenn der wüsste ... 😊 P. S.: Die Flasche ist leider schon leer. 🤷🏽♂️
Ich war sehr positiv überrascht, war sehr süffig und umgänglich. An der Nase zunächst einige Ester, Getrocknete hell Früchte, Birne, ein wenig Holz, alles sehr rund. Am Gaumen dann dann sehr mild und rund, ein tolles Bouquet an Früchten, Vanille, Holz. Also wirklich ein süffiger Savanna.
"We want more. To sum up, my tasting notes: On the nose: Ester, Pear On the palate: Mellow, Ester, Peppery, Barrel, Pineapple Finish: Woody, Pineapple, Dried fruit". This is definitely a rum I'd recommend for its RQP.
