This was the final one if the evening and the lowest scoring one. Yet it scored pretty high in my mind and a great rum. The cask is finish is there. The nose is very fruity with cinnamon, wi e and a hint of oak. The palate is dry, warm and oily and continues where the nose left off. Fruity with spices and what I liked the most is the balance between the bitterness and the dry oily/oaky flavours. The finish is long and dry/spicy with oak and raisins.
On The Rocks. On the nose it is very very mild with hints of fruit, floral, oak and spice. Taste reveals a strong but smooth spice and red wine with underlying mild sweetness. The sweetness continues to build in the finish for a medium length smooth sweet finish that becomes slightly bitter again. This is a more delicate rum that is quite smooth. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose musky old warehouse. Taste bitter musky old warehouse. Finish is short still in the musky old warehouse. Don’t drink it mixed.
