How does this rum taste?
Most reviewers appreciate the pronounced cognac and green apple character, noting its vibrant nose and balanced, round profile. Many find layers of pear and woody notes alongside subtle roasted elements, making it a distinctive sip for Savanna fans. It's often enjoyed neat to explore its cognac influence, though some mention it's less complex than other limited editions. For collectors or those who enjoy nuanced agricoles with a dry finish, it's a worthwhile addition.

02-09.04.2022 This was crazy week, where some friends and I rented a nice summerhouse on Rømø. The plan was to go nuts for a whole week with different rums without going overboard. The final agreement came to 6 rums a day and then enjoy nice walks or ferry rides during the day. Day 2 Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, roasted, citrus, sweet, light apple. Palate Round, fresh, raisin, light apple, light wood, light roasted, medium dry, faint tannins. Finish Medium long, round, wood, light tannins, citrus, light apple, faint honey. Extra note. Light and ABV pretty well integrated.
Solid rum, but overall not expressive enough for me. I like it thanks to its well-rounded profile - but that's also where the criticism begins, because unfortunately I find the moments of tension and complexity a little lacking here - a "problem" that I often encounter with Savanna's Traditionelles. But this is also not my subjectively preferred rum style.
