Rum Nation Reunion (Warehouse #1) 2008 13yr 59%
Reunion (Warehouse #1) is a 13-year-old rum, hailing from Reunion and bottled by the independent bottler Rum Nation. Distilled in 2008, this limited release originates from sugar cane juice with a Column Still and is bottled at cask strength, boasting an ABV of 59%. Featuring a woody, cherry, spicy, and nutty aroma, it delivers prominent flavors of wood, vanilla, cherry, dark chocolate, and roasted notes. This rare gem, praised for its complexity and mild profile, is preferred over its 15-year-old counterpart by some, although a splash of water and air might be necessary to fully appreciate its unique charm. With only 552 bottles in circulation, Reunion (Warehouse #1) is a must-try for any rum enthusiast.

“Dieser Réunion ist deutlich milder als sein Bruder, im Profil jedoch ähnlich! Mir persönlich ist der 15-jährige lieber, da er mehr Ecken und Kanten hat!”

“What to think of it. I liked it better than the one with 15yrs of aging. The first sip had more fruit and more sweetness to the tongue. However, this desperately needs some additional water and air to open up, so it can be enjoyed. Still, the burn is a bit too much for me, and limits a higher score.”
