Plantation Stiggins‘ Fancy Pineapple Smoky Formula
Most enjoy the bold pineapple, caramel sweetness and gentle smoke. Critics find it too sweet, slightly artificial or not smoky enough. Consensus: a fun, flavorful, solid-value flavored rum.
Those who enjoy sweet, flavored rums with clear pineapple notes, mild peat influence and want an easy, party-friendly sipper or cocktail base with good value.

Only marginally different from the standard Stiggins. The barrel finish adds a certain warmth to the nose. But also seems a bit juicier than the regular.Taste-wise, the finish has the effect of a note of campfire that is present throughout. You have to like it, it's a bit special. Makes then but especially pure more fun than the regular - and makes 'nen Rumgroni even better.Addendum: a little air but especially room temperature gets out here massively more!
For me, much too sweet, artificial and the teeling whiskey finish just does not fit in here at all. Extremely unharmonious and also Relativ spritzig...
So a little smoke does it amazingly well. Although I am not a fan of smoke or peat.
A nicer version of the basic Stiggins' Fancy. It is more flavorful, fuller in the body and everything but not even distantly reminiscent of smoke, peat or whisky. At all 😀. Is it a problem? Kind of, since I was excited about the smokiness or whisky aftertaste but do not get me wrong it is great, better than the regular one just not what I was expecting in terms of what has been advertised. It is little spicy in a good way, lot of sweet taste and a really prominent pineapple, not like in the regular version which seems like diluted smoky formula now. I like it. I even forgive the big fuss around the non-existent smokiness. The finish is kind of short to medium long. Also it is a little bit bitter in the aftertaste. Is that ,,it,,? The smoky formula? Charred barrel? Who knows. I like it though, it is better than it's older sibling which is more suitable to drinks and cocktails. Retaste 30.4.: F...me not sure whether it is a new glass that I have or it is because I had around 20+ rums in 24hrs but I can sense the peat now. A lot. Rest still holds true.
