"02-09.04.2022 This was crazy week, where some friends and I rented a nice summerhouse on Rømø. The plan was to go nuts for a whole week with different rums without going overboard. The final agreement came to 6 rums a day and then enjoy nice walks or ferry rides during the day. Day 2 Notes Light in colour. Nose Light wood, faint smoke, citrus, light honey, orange, cinnamon, plum. Palate Oily, round, light orange, plum, faint mint, pineapple, light coconut, faint chocolate, light roasted wood. Finish Medium long, light wood, light coconut, light cherry, dried fruit. Extra note. Needs to rest for a good while to release all its flavours and the ABV to settle."
"A little more tropical maturation would have done it good. Not bad but not my profile..."
"👃 is very unpleasant after pouring to the glass but once it sits in glass for at least 15 minutes it changes completely and wow I am surprised. At first it was harsh, sort of almost reminding agricole rums or even home made fruit alcohol but after sitting in glass it opens up and softens a great deal and you can sense the fruits, sweetness and little of oaky vibe. It is very woody but you can also sense banana and vanilla there too but still not my kind of nose that I would fall for. 👅 is lightly sweet with notes of vanilla, lots of wood and again sort of home made fruit spirit."
"I was really looking foward to try this one. In aroma I noticed combination of wood, citrus fruits, raisin, nuts and alcoholic scents. But alltogether aroma itself is very elegant and very subtle. In taste I noticed orange peel (love it), chocolate and wood. There is a hint of citrus fruit, caramel and warm notes. Finish is short but I have to say it is quite enough. I noticed mostly gantle sweet flavor of caramel and maybe that orange peel. Great sample, great rum. If this rum had little but more ABV it will be must have all the time. You just need to try it."
