The price may be arguable but the quality isn't. A pretty good Uitvlugt release with light fruit and wonderful wood with some smoky notes. Complex and balanced in the overall profile and I love the warmth on the palate.
Compared to other 90s Port Mourants relatively round. Really very successful!
Port Mourants can be hit or miss for me as I’m no fan of the herbal notes that some of the have. The RDL lacks these notes which is a big plus for me. Complex notes of light fruit, wood, spices and a nice sweetness made the sampling of this rum a pleasure.
