"The 48% unfortunately seems somewhat tamed - what remains is a primarily spicy-smoky rum with hints of fresh and dried red fruits and the classic melange of oak, vanilla, caramel and light minerality. Not a bad rum, but in my opinion only conditionally convincing and just in view of the large amount of other, very comparable Foursquares simply no more than average."

"Nice nose really reminding the Foursquare markers. In mouth it's not so good, it's bitter and we lose the greediness of the nose. Very short finish. Disappointment on this FS."

"For a titration at 48% like Doorly's 14 years old but with 3 years less aging, this Foursquare Indelible does not offer a clear difference. On the nose as on the palate, we find the same notes of dried fruits, vanilla and spices. The Zinfandel adds notes of wine and prunes that give roundness, but it is not enough to provoke ecstasy. The finish is moderately long and fairly linear, falling short of expectations. While not bad, this rum could have been better with more aging and a higher alcohol content."
