Delicious start in Savanna, but the herbal notes are unfortunately hidden a little too much behind the wood. When it stands a little, caramel comes through very strongly on the nose.
Une bonne entrée de gamme et des premiers bois jeunes plutôt sympa, c’est léger, c’est très très rond, aucune difficulté à boire. On a également quelques fruits jaunes ou agrumes, même si c’est le bois qui domine. Pas mal.

Palate Light oily, fresh, light, light wood, roasted, light nutts, faint mint, light citrus, light floral. Finish Medium long, fresh, round, light floral, faint chocolate, wood, light roasted. Empty glass Light chocolate, spice, light chocolate, light caramel, light dried fruit. Price to quality is very good.
Savanna is really an up and down one for me. The can do great, but there is the other side of sometimes utter mediocrity. I really think they are on to something here, eventhough i am not the intended audience. And to reach a level of for example hampden estate 46% this needs more. But hopefully we will get there!
