Users appreciate the rum’s dynamic aromatic profile, including woody, banana, and caramel notes. On the palate, tropical fruits like pineapple dominate, accompanied by woody and roasted elements with a creamy texture. Despite its complexity and limited release of 204 bottles, some find the rum expensive and slightly lacking in potency. "Has something of a Hampden/Fiji09 symbiosis. The bottle has now been open for a few months, which has done it a lot of good in my opinion. More fruit components come to the fore. Beautiful bottling with a super drinking strength."

"06.11.2021 Another visit to "Den Danske Rom & Whiskyfestival and once again with special access and many very drunk people both days. Notes. Needs rest. Fruity profile with some polish and wood. The palate is kind of light and oily yet fruity. The finish medium long and dry with fruits. ABV very well integrated."

"Delicious, quaffable drinking Hampden. The 50% is extremely easy to drink. The price kills it, however, when you look at what otherwise comparable continental Hampden of the 2000/2001 vintages cost."
