By rum lovers, for rum lovers
I'm Oliver – together with Jakob, Robert, and Lukas, we started RumX in 2018 as a small passion project in Stuttgart, back then under the name Rum Tasting Notes.
What began as a digital tasting diary is now the world's most comprehensive platform for rum fans: over 25,000 bottlings, 270,000+ independent reviews, and an active community with 50,000 members. We combine the collective intelligence of our community with an integrated marketplace, allowing you to shop securely and manage your collection directly from the app.
The goal? To offer you, the rum connoisseur, a place where you can choose with confidence—without paperwork, detours, or expert jargon.

A good (not too woody or varnishy) 2000's TDL that was sold 72€ by Dugas here in France. Best RQP rum of 2022 for me!
Yes, this is the beautiful and minty TDL profile, very nice! Nose: Directly floral, fresh mint that just grew in the garden. Plus leather, raspberry, strawberry, neat forest honey with peach and mango. Palate: Again directly mint, which here becomes Strawberry mint, combines deliciously. That's how it should be, very tasty! Astringent, but positively and very adjusted strong, then forest honey, mango and in the background actually pushes a nuance of Oloroso Sherry with in, perhaps was here a solo stave of an Oloroso (YOLOroso) in the game at the barrel? With Cadenheads, you'll know... subtle oak and caramel in the long finish dominated by Spain. Nice TDL for the price!Overall today: Rasta Morris>Rom de Luxe minimal >Plantation 2001 virtually on par with <> Cadenheads Green Label Trinidad 18 yo. which would probably have been better than the Plantation without dilution > Tamosi TDL 2000 which completely loses out here, no chance. 2001 2003 similar mint and diesel and polish and oak best2000 2002 similar less mint hardly any diesel less polish and less oak. Style Spanish more typical but very nice and clearly more powerful than what is otherwise known from this style.
#4769 09.07.2024 Relaxing with a few samples at home. Nose Light, fruity, faint mint, faint caramel, light sugarcane, light leather, light vegetal. Palate Oily, light wood, light grass, citrus, light leather, light mint, faint medicinal. Finish Short to medium, light, fruits, light citrus, light mint, faint leather, light wood. The empty glass has stronger caramel, menthol and dried fruit.
Typical minty creamy TDL. Low abv makes it easy to sip even for beginners.
