"#4447 03.11.2023 got some nice samples from a friend and though small they're still really good. This one was a bit disappointing and the cask has taken over in my mind. What could have been a great release went a bit south. Fruity with nice spices and a hint of smoke. Would be a good beginners rum into Caroni because the traditional notes are wery subtle."
"Tasted together with Leo Tomczak at the 11th GRF and can only agree with Leo's assessment here in all respects. The fact that this Caroni is not really successful, especially because of the finish, becomes even clearer when tasted in parallel with the "Slippery" (RX451), as we did."
"Nose is good,. Feels a bit thin on the palate, however."
"Entry-level Caroni, which would certainly come across better without the sherry cask. Very round, almost too flat. Nice Sipper also for non-nerds.Price too high."
