Macnair’s Exploration Rum Panama is a distinctive spirit distilled in Panama from molasses in 2006 and aged for 7 years. Crafted using a column still, this rum features a complex aroma with dominant notes of mango and dark chocolate, alongside vanilla and caramel. The next one in the average rum category. Well, it's just a tad too sweet. We have vanilla, chocolate and caramel on the nose and palate. It is also relatively smoky on the palate.

8:On the nose it is fresh, fruity and a bit sharp in the beginning. Smokiness is present all the time. A very kind nose with tropical fruits, hints of mango, some coconut and stone fruits, caramel .A gentle layer of milk chocolate makes this feel like a summery fruit-chocolate pie. In the beginning there is a slight spiciness. 7,4:On the palate warmer and sweeter than the nose suggests, there’s more spice and some added fruits. Bananas, mangos and oranges. This combines well with the still-present milk chocolate and some caramel, iodine also, some ashes, camp fire, a pinch of salt. 7,3:The finish is smoky, with tropical fruits and a bit of a spiciness.
