“NOSE: russet apple, wood glue, pastry crust, sweet oak, leaf duff. PALATE: overripe fruits, rotten apple, light honey, elderflower. FINISH: sweet oak, crème brûlée, more rotten apple, autumn leaves, custard, yogurt & sweet fruits, grape, cardamon. OVERALL: drinks much lighter than some other tropically-aged Long Pond- though some similar elements are there. The dominant note is an overripe apple, rotting on the orchard floor. I like it. The fruit notes play well off the drier wood tannins & caramel. RATING: 73/100”
