"Compared to the sauternes cask this one is druer and heavier on the oak. A lot of oak without it being too dominant. The nose is fruity with spices and toffee. A pretty complex nose in my mind. The palate is heavy on the oak, but still has nice fruits, spices and caramel to it. There is also a hint og chocolate and the palate is quite dry actually. The finish is very long, dryand spicy with heavy oak and fruits. Overall an oak heavy and dry rum."
"On The Rocks: On the nose it has a mild musty oak with an underlying mild caramel sweetness. Taste is smooth with a strong initial hit of spice and fruit / floral building back into a strong spice with a delayed burn. Finish is short with sweetness and burn fading away quickly. This is a very unique rum and demonstrates a beautiful Madeira Wine cask influence. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose mild caramel with a very mild musky warehouse. Taste has a smooth spice with underlying musky old warehouse. Finish is very short. Not bad but is a waste to drink mixed."
