"The nose a bit atypical and undecipherable! Instead, the surprising part is the taste. Dark, intense with a nice caramel part! Pleasantly surprised!"
"Both the oldest and the most expensive rhum I’ve tried so far. The nose is a delight. Picture the darkest cherry yoghurt you could ever imagine. I could sniff this all day. Carries through exactly those flavors with very well integrated alcohol. Also adds some vanilla toffee to the mix. Lovely but if I have to nitpick I would have loved to see 3-4% extra ABV. Very unique profile. Very little in the way of lime/tropical fruits and more like a dark wave of rum cherry. Goes north of 1300€ today so I can’t say it’s a steal but man it sure is tasty."
"Très belle expression d'un rhum martiniquais des années 50."
