„Another nice release. I sampled this rum at the GRF and bought a bottle to bring home. Nicely balanced and fruity with some wood. The flavours come at you from opening the bottle and in the empty glass you get a lovely nose even the day after sampling.“

„Very unusual Mount Gay! The extra year in the Andean Oak is definitely noticeable. Alcohol is very well integrated and not too thin either. Flavor is rather herbal and spicy dry. Somewhat reminiscent of the mount gilboa from velier Warren Khong and the other velier mount gay bottlings. So really warm I do not get with the profile but.... Nevertheless, probably the most unusual mount gay of the Special Editions and quite exciting.“

„Für mich der schwächste der bisherigen Master Blender Collection, wobei das Meckern auf sehr hohem Niveau ist. Rund und weich, etwas Banane, wenig Feige und Vanille. Für mich scheint nur etwas zu viel Holz durch. Unter dem Strich ein toller Rum!“

„Barbados I like it...in the aroma and then in the taste there are a little technical elements like in Jamaica, in the background there is a smell of wood...the taste is balanced, it is not sweet. Shame about the slightly shorter finish, the rum seems to end quickly...for me a hilarious piece and I could imagine having a whole bottle in the bar.“
