Very awesome balance of Madeira wine sweet, light acidity, barrel notes, sulfur, dark berries and the Rhum Agricole. Harmonious, elegant and delicious! Can easily keep up with partly twice as old rhum agricoles💣👌🏽

Danke an Pedro Ferreira, der meinen Schwiegereltern einige Rumproben mitgab :-) Der älteste Rum von O Reizinho und ich habe das Gefühl, dass die Komplexität etwas abnimmt, dagegen nimmt die Rundheit deutlich zu. Eine sehr runde Nase, die zum einen von allerlei Pralinen mit Röstaromen geprägt ist, und zum anderen von pflanzlichem und zitrusfruchtigem Zuckerrohr. Im Mund schokoladig, mild, Alkohol überhaupt nicht bemerkbar, allerdings eine intensive Sherry-Note in Abgang, der mir zu dominant erscheint. Krasser Stoff, auch wenn der dreijährige Burder etwas komplexer ist!

Round, sweet, pleasing - but without the real wow effect. Solid in a positive sense and absolutely suitable as an easy sipper, but the bottling does not qualify for more in my book.

I have had a few Madeira rums and generally am a big fan. This one is one of the better ones I have had. It’s fairly complex for a young rum. Nose is chocolate and marzipan with some raw ethanol notes towards the back. Mouth is dry and moorish, with charred barrel and almonds offset by ripe fig. The finish is spicy and warm with great length, more noticeable is the young wood but it all works rather well. Would be happy to have this on my shelf
