"I've never had a Chairman's diluted to 40% either. As with some diluted rums, I initially experienced an unpleasant alcoholic sharpness, but this evaporated very quickly. Well then... Nose: aromatic but quite flat. It takes a while to recognize the subtleties. Then you have a pleasant spiciness and a chocolaty texture. First nutmeg and pepper, but more sweet, soft liquorice and dry cherry wood with a fine tobacco note. All very thin and flat, but nice. 70 Palate: unfortunately very thin here, too thin, almost watered down. Only spicy aromas come through, nutmeg, pepper and caraway. A little woody on the back and then it's all gone again. A great pity. 50"
