CoR Foursquare Barbados No. 2 2005
Highly praised cask strength Foursquare: focused coconut, vanilla and oak, good integration of 59% ABV, reliable profile and strong overall value for a 15‑year Barbados molasses rum.
Foursquare fans and bourbon drinkers who enjoy dry, oak‑driven, cask strength rums with coconut, vanilla and baking spice at a fair price.

Very good Rum from Foursquare, exactly like the 2007. Price per value is OK. You will notice the 59% for sure! The alcohol is integrated better than in the 2007, so +2 rating. Nose: Classic Barbardos. Tropical fruits, vanilla, oak, marzipan, coco, banana, Honey. On the palate: Roasted, Vanilla, Marzipan. The finish is medium long with an astringend feeling with notes of oak, vanilla.
Auto-translatedSeriously, all this foursquare are more or less the same, and this is an tremendous achievement. Rarely a fallout to below the 70 points. Bourbon cask leaves vanilla and spices, some coconut, and overall a bit boring but reliable profile, even with these ib's
16.05.2023 Normally I don't do tastings during the week because I have to go to work pretty early the next day. This blind tasting just stating "Colours of Rum" just tickled my brain to say "book and participate" and I didn't regret it. It wasn't only a great experience, but we had a blast of an evening with many new faces around the table. This was a nice rum and I think the price is pretty good compared to what you get. I like the coconut in the profile. These nose is fruity and fresh. The palate is oily and spicy/warm with fruit and caramel. ABV is well integrated and the light caramel note is nice. The finish is medium to long with nice dried fruit and caramel. Nice curtains in the glass.
Very good Foursquare with almost too much barrel influence.
