“Very alcoholic from the pouring so I left it to rest for 30 minutes after which it had lost some of its teeth. Fruity with varnish and spice/chocolate. A super long finish. To put it into a few words. A monster :-) At the same time i got a package from one of my suppliers and it contained samples of all the Albert Michler "Colours of Rum". The smile on my face and excitement to give these a go in the near future can't be put into words........”

“Den Rum verstehe ich nicht. Die 86 Prozent sind zwar durchaus trinkbar, da der Alkohol verhältnissmässig gut eingebunden ist. Aber will man das? Speziell noch beim höchsten Ester Mark der Destille, was an sich schon ausdruckstark ist. Der Tropfen lässt nicht mehr DOK DNA durchblicken als andere, die zwischen 55-60 Volumen abgefüllt wurden. Dazu kommt das Caroni-Finish. Bei einem DOK? Bei 86%? Bei zwei Jahren Lagerung? Der Fasseinfluss ist für mich (nachvollziehbarerweise) nicht bemerkbar. Wie gesagt, ich verstehe den nicht.”

“Wow! Wirklich ein unvergleichlicher Rum. Das Caroni Fass kommt im Geschmack und im Angang gut zur Geltung. Ansonsten natürlich viel Hampden Power. Geiles Zeug!”
