How does this rum taste?
Most love its crazy esters, overripe fruit and petrol-funky Mhoba style; critics find it too aggressive or wild. Consensus: a complex, intense, well-integrated bruiser for experienced rum fans.
If you enjoy Hampden-style funk or other big Mhobas and want to push intensity to the max, this keeps that profile but at 75.5% with extra depth and zero sugar.
Beginners, those sensitive to high ABV, or drinkers who dislike solventy, high-ester funk and prefer soft, sweet 40% sippers.

Quelle puissance.
Very good and complex rum. I did not expect so much different flavours in it.
This South African rum is a wonderful surprise. This hybrid is surprisingly aromatic. The nose reveals very fresh vegetal notes of mushroom and undergrowth, esters, solvent and typical tropical fruits (notably pineapple and banana). The palate is even more radiant, with the 75.5% extremely well integrated. The rum flows between vegetal, floral, fruity, fermented notes and a touch of rubber. The finish leaves an impression of freshness and fruity sweetness, with a hint of vanilla. Complex, balanced and intense, it's a real knockout.
What an esterbomb from Mhoba! A lot of spice, solvents, nail polish (like UHU glue) in the nose(Very SPECIAL)! This is definitely not a beginner rum, also be patient… it has 75%! I‘ll give it some time and also add some drops of water…. maybe it opens up a bit more. Time will give this rum a lot 😎 i don‘t recommend it for cuba libre Nose: Solvents 🤪, fruity esters, funky, fresh, sugarcane, overripe fruits like banana, pineapple Mouth: Spicy, Solvents, astrigend, bitter, strong, funky, vegetal, olive, fruity Finish: short to medium long, dry astringend, bitter, caramel, vanilla, fresh, grass, herbal, young wood Update: I have this bottle now open for some months and it’s getting better and better drinkable/accessible.
