A super solid 17 month old sipping rum - up there with the best young cask strength rums I have tried. A brash alcoholic nose that takes some time but settles with maple syrup and green pepper highs, really nice soft mouth with treacly sweetness and a spicy biscuit middle. Finish has some pleasant burn and lingers, with black pepper spice and warming citrus hinted length. Excited to see what the distillery’s longer aged releases can deliver
