"Second Blackadder for today, again these fine coal sediments. Very nice.Fine and fresh nose with a slight spiciness and honey sweetness. Right at the start slightly toasty and charred, but at the same time fruity with apple, some pear and lime. And again the nice honey note. Also seems green with some sesame and green tea. Woody and caramelly at the back. Nice nose.Palate: elegant and light at first, even seems almost a bit thin. Spicy attack, toasty and salty. Licorice comes to mind first, but then also something artificial, burnt plastic. Metallic it is too. Now it becomes almost bacony with umami yet sweet, syrupy. Yeast, grain and saffron at the back. Exciting flavor curve.Nice and challenging rum. I really like it."
"On the nose, there's some nice glue, which may displease some, but I love it! But not only that, of course, there's woodiness, tropical fruit and spice. The nose is rather conventional for a PM, but it's perfect for my taste, and I'm always happy to go back to it. On the palate, it's intense and brilliant. Much more complex than the nose. Licorice, solvents, wood, red fruit, citrus, almond, vanilla... The finish is long and beautiful, with iodized wood. The conclusion is simple: this is an expressive-top rum."
