How does this rum taste?
RumX members pin this Fijian rum for its forward vanilla and floral notes, with a touch of sour cherry and litchi showing up on both nose and palate. There’s definite solvent and grassy intensity at first, but time in the glass rewards patience—"Sehr schöner Fiji Rum mit einer tollen Vanillekipferlnote" (@Zucker und Zeste) and a biscuity sweetness emerge, even if some miss a deeper barrel influence. A balanced and original profile, as Benoit Mahe notes, though the mild finish leaves a few wanting more.

Very nice Fiji rum with a great vanilla biscuit note that I find very present and long lasting
Here I like the impact of sour cherry quite well. I'm missing a little counterpart that makes the whole thing rounder then you would have a lot of fun. So ultimately for me on a level with the SBS
An original profile. It reminds me a bit of the Fiji from Old Brothers which is also a 2009. Compared to the latter, it is a bit more mellow. It is also a little more diluted which takes away some texture. A balanced and pleasant rum.
Very good, typical Fiji with a nice round, buttery-vannish note!
