The Caraïbes - Port Cask Finish by Compagnie des Indes is a blend from various countries, distilled from molasses and aged for 5 years. Limited to 325 bottles, this 40% ABV rum is characterized by a sweet and fruity profile, with pronounced notes of port, plum, and dried fruits. Schöne Fruchttöne. Allerdings finde ich ihn zu süß und zu kurz. Ansonsten wären hier auch 90 Punkte drin gewesen
I think port wine is pretty tasty anyway and this rum has a sweet fruitiness that runs right through it. In addition to the complex fruit, there are spices, caramel and chocolate. The medium-long finish is dominated by plum and grape, with the sweetness rounding off the rum and making it mild.
