"Un Long Pond embouteillé par Velier avec toutes les qualités escomptées. Le nez est très raffiné et expressif, avec des fruits exotiques, des agrumes et des notes médicinales en première approche. Un soupçon de cuir, d’épices et de chêne fumé viennent étayer le profil olfactif, qui se veut très alléchant. L’attaque en bouche est aussi gouleyante que savoureuse. Une explosion fruitée vient emplir les narines de banane, d’ananas, de fruit de la passion, de citron vert et de fruits rouges, le tout dans une corbeille esterisée sur la colle, le vernis à ongles et les solvants. Le chêne, les épices douces, le cuir et le massepain parachève ce profil terriblement goûtu. L’alcool est superbement bien intégré. La finale est d’une longueur convenable, assaillie par les épices (gingembre, piment) le chêne et le cuir dans un premier temps. Par la suite se manifestent les fruits et les notes phénoliques pour donner un profil complet, soyeux et d’une belle rondeur. Un Long Pond qui pourrait se boire comme du petit lait pour les aficionados."

"Another great long pond, in a way different both form 2010 and 2005 Stce I tried so far. In fact, this mark sour and fruity profile is confirmed also in this release, but with a new layer of complexity made up of buttery and confictionery notes, which mix up well with the fierce ester-y profile that characterises the 2010. Really pleasant, even if maybe the official NRJ releases scores a bit higher in my book"

"Absolut genialer Rum, der sich direkt in meine Top 3 katapultiert. Anfangs starke Aromen von Lösungsmittel, Keksteig, Butter-/Mandelaroma und Ester, die nach einiger Zeit Platz machen für fruchtige, süße Noten von Papaya, Mango und Karamell. Am Gaumen dann super intensiv mit Ester und tropischen Früchten, aber auch fruchtig süße Noten. Erinnert ein wenig an den Cambridge 2005. Alkohol perfekt integriert. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist wohl, dass der Rum leider nicht mehr zu bekommen ist."
