Ein ganz feines Destillat ohne irgendwelche Ansätze von Fehltönen. Angenehm rundes Mundgefühl. Für das niedrige ABV erstaunlich langer Abgang. Anklänge der Fasseinflüsse aber natürlich nicht wirklich komplex. Würde den Jungen gerne mal in Fassstärke probieren.
Kein Rum der mit einer karibischen Abfüllung vergleichbar ist. Es fehlt dem Rum aufgrund des jungen Alters an Komplexität. Dafür zeigt der Rum, wie sauber man ein solches Destillat herstellen kann und wie dann letztendlich der Einfluss vom Fass auf das Produkt ist. Neben dem Sherry setzt sich das Maulbeerfass sehr kräftig im Geschmack durch.
