23.05.2020 Crazy tasting with lots of participants and a few friends. Notes Medium dark to dark in colour. Nose Intense, wood, tannins, fruity, light herbs, light chocolate, faint smoke. Palate Round, wood, light smoke, fruity, naturally sweet, light floral, light cherry, herbs. Finish Medium long, naturally sweet, light, round, light floral, faint chocolate, faint caramel, light citrus.
In die Abfüllungen von Rum Nation, habe ich persönlich nie große Erwartungen, aber auch hier wurde ich wieder eines besseren Belehrt. Bringt eigentlich alles mit, was er mitbringen muss, zwar kein sehr komplexer oder lang anhaltender Tropfen, aber für den Preis völlig in Ordnung.
Heute Rum Nation, in der Nase fruchtig würzig die typische Agricol Note ist da aber nicht so dominant wie bei anderen Agricols. Im Mund dann eine schöne Würze mit ganz leichter Frucht. Den 45% fehlt vielleicht etwas der Wumms aber dennoch verspürt man etwas Kraft. Der Abgang ist Mittelgang und kräftig. Es bleiben Salznoten zurück.
Ein fruchtiger Geruch, Zuckerrohr, etwas nach Gewürzen, Vanille und Holz. Im Geschmack dominiert zuerst ein Whiskyeinschlag mit Holz, dann kommt der Agricole-Geschmack stärker zum Vorschein. Das Finish wird süßer mit einem leichten scharfen Brennen.
