How does this rum taste?
- Fruity aroma
- Fresh and elegant palate
- Limited edition rarity
La Favorite's "Selection de fût" is an exceptionally crafted Agricole rum from Martinique, distilled in 2015 using sugarcane juice and aged for 6 years and 8 months. The rum offers a complex aroma melding raisin, fruits, and vanilla with a subtle alcoholic nuance. On the palate, intense notes of dried fruit, spice, and sugarcane are balanced by grassy undertones. Limited to only 1930 bottles, this release receives mixed reviews, with some appreciating its fruity freshness and elegance, while others find it slightly lacking in complexity compared to other Agricoles. Its medium to long finish carries hints of wood and spice, reminiscent of whiskey undertones. Explore more about this exquisite rum on RumX and find your bottle through their marketplace.

"18.12.2021 Participating in a nice tasting given to me as a present. Nice hotel in a very central location. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, fruits, light grass, floral, light honey, light citrus. Palate Light wood, fruity, light grass, citrus, tannins, faint berries, faint caramel. Finish Medium to long, fresh, light wood, light citrus, faint cherry, spice."
"A very fresh, pleasant, fruity rum with a hint of lemon and mandarin. Elegant, vegetal and floral on the palate. A faint taste of cask. A rather short finish with a hint of Scotch whisky. Empty glass, a little smoky too, almost like a molasses rum."
"I had honestly hoped for more. Other Agricoles offer much more interesting and intense flavors. The smell is full cannon sparkling wine, taste comes first dried fruits followed by spices and grassy notes. A slightly alcoholic taste is a constant companion. Then at the end a little wood and spice."
"Nose: fruity on grapes/dried grapesFlavor: herbaceous/spicy/tobaccoFinish: rather average on spice and tannins I don't really like this 2015 vintage. I find it too monolithic with a nose too wise and especially a mouth too spicy. I didn't really take pleasure on this reference."
