How does this rum taste?
The Pagos Sherry from Hampden and Velier is hailed for its rich interplay of ripe tropical fruits and a distinct sherry cask influence, making it an exciting twist on the classic Jamaican funk. Most reviewers rave about its vibrant notes of cherry, pineapple, and banana, with esters and sherry seamlessly blending for a unique tasting experience. Many enjoy sipping it neat, especially for special occasions or side-by-side with other Hampden releases. With 1,200 bottles produced, its bold personality and limited availability make it a rewarding choice for both established fans and adventurous newcomers to the Hampden profile.

Aroma. Very harmonious combination of a quite young Hampden and spicy sherry influence. Relaxed to drink and is really fun!
Interesting experiment. I particularly like the toasty notes on the finish.
This is a special one from hampden with this nice touch of sherry cask. Very good solid hampden. The alcohol and sherry cask is integrated very well. Unfortunately, I have to say that the second edition is just a hint better that the first edition 😵💫 btw this is just my opinion
Exciting combination - fresh fruit esters meet heavy, syrupy sweetness from the sherry cask. The whole thing moves on a fine line, because the sherry influences are already quite opulent and put a rich stamp on the overall profile. In the end, however, everything remains sufficiently balanced in my eyes and I thoroughly enjoy it. Successful experiment.
