“Au nez un mélange de saveurs sombres et des fruits comme masqués. Mais aussi des copeaux de bois, de la résine et du vieux bois verni. La bouche est équilibrée, même si l’équilibre se fait du côté sombre et boisé. La banane est tellement mûre qu’elle est toute noire avec comme le goût des filaments de peau de banane. La finale est longue et sur le bois avec comme du thé noir trop infusé. Un très beau rhum qui raconte une histoire, une histoire de fruits noyés dans du vieux bois (si c’est possible).”

“Heute ein Tasting mit sieben Abfüllungen des 1994 New Yarmouth: Thompson Brothers, Royal Cane, Kill Devil, Rum Sponge, Ron Artesanal, FRC Bottles Shop und Maolt, Grain & Cane. Der Sponge ist recht einfach gestrickt, viel Kokosnuss und auch einer der mich an einen guten Foursquare erinnert.”

“#4534 09.01.2024 Sitting at home testing how my tastebuds are doing after change of medication. The iron overtones are slowly subsiding and I hope to be ready for our tasting on Friday. A very nice and fruity rum. Needs to rest for a good while to reduce the alcohol and open up the profile. The palate is spicy and well balanced with some chocolate. The finish is long and warm with a light vegetal note.”
