Compared to Appleton Signature this has a lot more Jamaican hogo and fruit, but it’s not quite as smooth. There is some harshness on the front end. Nonetheless it’s a soft “bite” that is gone by the finish making it overall pleasant to sip. Much fuller flavor than Appleton Sig. This appears to be a better choice for a mixing rum if you are looking for rum forward cocktails with a Jamaican kick, without having to mix in a more funky example (Wray/Nephew, Smith/Cross, Dr Bird, etc.) to get there. Long finish with some wood.
Solid, well-made Jamaican. Worthy Park stands out a bit. Good entry-level rum at a good price!
Good Jamaica entry-level blend! For 25€ more than fair with Worthy Park, monymusk, Hampden and new Yarmouth parts. Could just have more % and a little more depth. But you can buy it without hesitation for the money.
