The "Exception" was produced in Fiji at the South Pacific distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Famille Ricci. It was distilled in 2001 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 20 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 60,7%. This is a limited release and there are only 150 bottles.

“After resting this rum for a while it releases very nice flavours. The ABV is well integrated and you get the roasted/smoky wood notes from the long aging. Lightly fruity with a nice touch of esters and vanilla/caramel. Very long and dry finish. Price to quality is OK in my mind.”
